Every year we participate in Prince William County Soil and Water Conservation’s Farm Field Days. This is an event which the local Soil and Water Conservation office organizes in cooperation with the Prince William County Schools. They invite volunteers from the farming community to bring their animals to the fair grounds. The volunteers then teach the children about the animals and agriculture in Prince William County. We have been volunteers for this event for the past 4 years and would not miss it. The first year I brought some chickens, the second year I brought the sheep and have been bringing them ever since.
The kids have a great time as well as the volunteers. (Maybe the volunteers have more fun!)

For the first year in the past three - I was unable to participate in farm field days - I am hoping to be back in shape to go in 2008.
